Avoiding foods that are high in cholesterol can be difficult. Many of the foods that taste the best to us are likely high in cholesterol. Most high cholesterol foods contain saturated fats as well as cholesterol. The average person shouldn’t consume more then 300 mg of cholesterol each day. Limiting high cholesterol foods in your diet may not always lower your cholesterol.

You may need to try other methods for lowering your cholesterol including dieting and exercising. Most people would prefer to lower their cholesterol on their own rather than take medication for the problem. Medication for high cholesterol can sometimes have side effects which are undesirable. High cholesterol can affect our health in different ways. It’s up to us to take care of ourselves and lower our cholesterol so that we can live a healthier life.
